Vredenburg is the commercial hub of the West Coast and the central point of every visitor to any of the surrounding towns. An Information Tourist Office is set on the main road as you enter the town from the R27. Stop and visit and get interesting brochures on the towns.
Vredenburg, formerly known as “Twisfontein” is the commercial hub of the West Coast, however, it also has beautiful guest accommodations ideal for business travelers. In busy times and high season, oftentimes visitors will be unable to find accommodation in the nearby towns and then stay in one of the beautiful establishments available in the town as it is a mere 10-15 kilometers from Paternoster, St Helena Bay, Jacobsbaai, and Saldanha Bay.
For shopping, the West Coast Mall has all the shops you could require, from the big anchor supermarkets to small interesting boutique shops.
Vredenburg boasts of the best Medical facilities such as the Life Hospital which also has an array of Drs and Specialists on site.
For the guest with no medical insurance, adjacent to the Life Hospital is a beautiful newly renovated Vredenburg Provincial Hospital with Superb medical personnel.

Vredenburg, wat jare terug bekend was as Twisfontein.
