The story of Skilpadkos

While exploring the veld (bushland) your eyes will suddenly catch sight of a striking red velvety cats’ claw which the local people referred to as Skilpadkos (hyobanche guinea). This is an unusual plant as it  attaches itself to the roots of other plants in order to draw water and obtains nutrients from its host. The flowers were then dried, diluted and used as ink.

 Skilpadkos offers  four comfortable bedrooms.

3 Twin/king bedded rooms
1 double room
1 private bathroom/shower
2 private en-suite showers
